The Littleton Elementary School District #65 began in 1912 and has been serving the Southwest communities of Phoenix, Tolleson and Avondale ever since. With a predominantly Title I community and 8 focus schools, the Littleton District became a District of Choice to allow all students to be able to choose any school that would fit their future goals.

At Country Place Leadership Academy, one-on-one behavior interventions are provided to Kinder through 8th grade students within the Care Room. The Care Room teaches students about the 3 brain states (survival, emotional, and executive). The Care Room staff focuses on social skills instruction and teaching students to self-regulate emotions. Within the Care Room there is a “Safe Place”. This Safe Place offers students a space, while within the emotional state, to calm themselves.
