Karina

Karina is 16 years old and a high school sophomore and has been involved with Loving Library for two years. She has been an Ambassador for the Afghan refugee chapter and their ChildHelp chapter. She loves performing both on stage and on screen and is passionate about speech and debate, mock trial, and theatre. She is also the co-founder of another local nonprofit called My Tasty Table.

I’ve always thought that no matter what May be happening in your life, a good book can provide the perfect escape. I love to read for fun, but also use books as a way to enter new worlds.

Avaani

Avaani is 12 years old and a 7th grader in middle school. She loves sports and wants to be an actor and entrepreneur when she grows up. Avaani loves books and wants other kids going through hardships to be able to escape into the books.

I love books because it helps you imagine so many different things and read about different stories and experiences, both fiction and non-fiction. I want to be part of this chapter to help children get books and find a way to escape and learn and feel different experiences.
