About
Calvary Christian School
partner Since Q3 2020
Calvary Christian School, located in West Los Angeles, is a private school dedicated to providing a comprehensive education for students from preschool through eighth grade. The school serves 530 students from kindergarten through eighth grade and is supported by 350 families, one-third of whom lost their homes completely due to the recent devastating wildfires across the Los Angeles metroplex. The school has also suffered damages from the wildfires with most of the school supplies unusable. The children have been displaced to a temporary school in Santa Monica, where there is a deep need for all school supplies. With this Loving Library Chapter, we will purchase books to start a library for the children at the temporary location, which will be moved to the permanent library once the school rebuilds.
Calvary Christian School offers a nurturing environment where students can thrive academically and personally. The curriculum includes a strong focus on core subjects, as well as enrichment programs in fine arts, theater, music, and athletics. The school also integrates technology into classroom instruction, providing students with project-based learning opportunities that prepare them for future challenges.
